Italians know how to enjoy their life, the dolce vita! I live in the center of Florence, the charming Sant’Ambrogio. I’m inviting you to explore my neighborhood, and the local farmer’s market and experience the authentic flavors this city has to offer. To start our morning the Florentine way, it will begin with a cappuccino. After visiting my favorite coffee spot, we will meet the bustling crowds of the Sant’Ambrogio market to check out the vibrant seasonal vegetables and fruits from my Sicilian friends. We’ll work our way inside the market to sample some local Tuscan cheeses and salumis. After, we will get a chance to try some Tuscan classics and specials with the best quality meats by chef, Leo. These bites are better than what you might find in any restaurant in town. The next stop on our food train is to try some schiacciata sandwiches from my favorite local spot that specializes in this Florentine treat, made with Tuscan flatbread filled with delicious spreads, salumi, and cheeses. Last but not least, something sweet! We will have a bite of some unforgettable biscotti and a scoop of heavenly gelato to end our time together.
Note: Tastings will be paired with wine and accommodations can be made for vegetarians.
