One of my favorite things about Italian lifestyle is Aperitivo! What is aperitivo you ask? It’s kind of like Italian happy hour. It’s that cocktail or wine you get right before your evening dinner, and here your cocktail or wine is usually paired with snacks. The purpose and meaning of the word is to open your appetite before dinner. Aperitivo is usually around 6 to 8pm, and typical Italian dinner time can start anywhere from 8pm to even 9 or 930 pm. I for one am the type to skip dinner on some days and just aperitivo for longer. I love having different small bites with my wine.
Come along with me as I share with you some local culture & my favorite spots. We’ll have a spritz (the classic aperitivo drink) or a wine at each spot, and a snack to compliment & pair. We’ll visit 4 different spots especially curated, and we’ll end at a local spot in my neighborhood of Sant’Ambrogio. It’s perfect for girls trips and solo travelers looking to meet friendly faces!
